Geoff is putting the kids to bed while I deconstruct a psychology book and try to turn that into a paper. He returns to the girls room where Calliope is sitting up, crying. He asks what's wrong.
"I miss God! Because he's in Clara's heart. I'm waiting for him to be in my heart after her turn. And it's taking a long time!"
Geoff proceeded into a gorgeous explanation of where God could be (including referencing Pentecost, where they counted the little flames), how this is so, and laid with her a long time in order to reassure her.
I feel like Natalie Merchant, "These are the days."
