Meeting You Here

I heard something today on NPR about how blogs are going to become obsolete soon. I guess with regard to news. People aren't going to go to blogs for news anymore. And then I read a statistic for a local counseling organization that 1 in 5 divorces now blame Facebook for part of what went wrong.

Totally depressing, but let's subvert that. I started this blog to be a note to long-distance friends. So they could keep up with pregnancies, kid-milestones. I want to keep this little port hole going. I like putting things out into the world if only for myself to read later. I'd like to keep this as a way of keeping the lines open.

Thank you for checking in here with me. My analytics report tells me that I have a couple hundred of you readers. I really enjoy this space. I know that something's weird with my comment section. I'll try to get that fixed but I just wanted to say that writing here is good soul-work for me, keeps me real. And frankly, keeps me off Facebook (sometimes).
